MAC HUB and Sky Defenders Sign a Memorandum of Cooperation
The partners’ immediate plans include the supply of UAVs manufactured by Sky Defenders to Military Armored Company HUB. The UAVs will be integrated into the armament of Katran naval drones, which is expected to increase the range of the USVs.
Sky Defenders is a Ukrainian defense technology company specializing in combat unmanned systems. The development is carried out by a former military UAV pilot and an aerospace engineer, and the solutions they have created have already been operating in combat conditions for more than a year and a half. The company has active contracts with the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and complies with NATO production standards. In nearly two years of operation, the Sky Defenders team has developed three UAV models suitable for offensive and defensive operations.
The tactical fixed-wing strike drone Zigzag-S has the most extensive configuration. It is a strike UAV launched from a catapult and capable of covering more than 150 km at a speed of up to 250 km/h. Its payload is a 3-5 kg warhead. The Zigzag-S is designed for one-time combat use, meaning it does not return to base.
“We have repeatedly said that we have our own solutions for countering the enemy on land, in the air and at sea, and this remains the case. But we know that there can be no meaningful growth within a closed system; no war can be won this way. Therefore, we are open to partnerships, and this is not the first agreement of this kind for our company,” MAC HUB management comments on the agreement.
MAC HUB has memoranda with both Ukrainian and foreign partners. In June 2026, the expansion of cooperation with Paramount Greece, a European defense company, became known.
In its work, MAC HUB follows one of its key principles: to work with solutions that have been tested in combat and developed by professionals with combat experience. Ninth, a special forces serviceman and commander of the “Black Sea Legion” maritime unit, emphasizes this approach. He oversees some of the company’s projects, assessing them through the lens of real-world operating conditions and the needs of Ukrainian military personnel.
“We already have clear targets, and now we will be able to reach the enemy at a distance of two thousand kilometers. The plans include strikes against coastal security forces, the destruction of Russian radar systems, their air defense systems, command personnel and critical infrastructure,” Ninth says, adding: “In general, everything the enemy has located near the water will suffer heavily.”.
The companies plan to announce further details of the cooperation at a later date.
